2024 - 2025 Field Lacrosse Fee Schedule

*Early bird fees in effect until July 31, 2024 at 11:59pm
All registration fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD)
Registration And Required Documentation
1. Early Bird Registration closes on July 31st 2024 at 11:59 pm. Regular fees will apply to all registrations after that date.
2. Payment and documents MUST be received and processed PRIOR to the player participating in any association activities.
3. Please allow 48 hours for all documentation and payments to be processed.
4. Your player will not be considered registered until ALL required paperwork is provided, forms completed and payment received. This applies to both RETURNING and NEW players.
5. Please note that proof of residency documents are required for 3 consecutive seasons for each player. Box lacrosse seasons do not count as field seasons as they are governed by two separate directorates and must be satisfied individually.
All Players
Before being eligible to participate in lacrosse activities, players must do the following:
1. Provide a copy of the player's birth certificate and BC Services Card (front and back) by either scanning or taking a clear photo and emailing to vafield.registrar@gmail.com
2. Forward TWO (2) Proof of Residency documents (one of which must be proof of registration form at the school the player attends) by scanning or taking a clear photo and emailing them to vafield.registrar@gmail.com. The documents must show your City of Abbotsford residency and the name of the account holder. You can black out the actual account number if you wish. Accepted documents showing the player's residential address
- Property tax bill (for the current year) where the primary residency grant has been claimed
-Hydro bill
-FortisBC bill
-Cable bill
- Landline telephone bill or internet bill (not cellular phone bill)If you currently rent and do not pay utilities, you must:
- Submit your signed rental agreement
(full agreement required), AND
-Provide one piece of Government-issued ID showing your Abbotsford address (i.e.. BC Driver’s License, BC ID Card, BC Services Card, tax assessment)
*Our Club Registrar reserves the right to request additional Proof of Residency Documents. The player will not be allowed to participate until the requested documents are received.
3. Complete each of the waivers attached to the registration
Residency Information
A player must live and reside in the City of Abbotsford to register with Abbotsford Lacrosse Association (specific proof is required – see above for accepted documents).
Residency rules are set by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association and must be followed by all minor associations.
General Information
Please note that tryouts and/or waitlists may apply in some divisions. However, it is our goal to get every registrant on a team.
We are accepting credit card payments and ETF only this year. You do NOT need a PayPal account in order to use your credit card.
KID SPORT funding is available for those who require financial assistance in order to play. Click here for more info: Kid Sport. This option is ONLY available to those that are going to use it. Please do not choose sponsorship if you are not going to be sponsored.
Photocopy of birth certificate & care card number are required for new players.
Per the new Lower Mainland Commission operating policy Proof of Residency is required at registration by all players. Acceptable forms:
phone bill
hydro bill
tax notice etc.
Tax Receipt – we will no longer be issuing manual receipts, please refer to the confirmation email you receive after online registration.
A $100 jersey deposit will be collected. It must be paid to the team manager before jerseys are distributed and will be returned at the end of the season when the jersey has been returned.
Included in the registration is:
a) $30 parent social fundraiser fee is included in the registration.
b) Team shorts for all new players to keep.

Refund Policy
All refund requests must be submitted to ALA registrar: vafield.registrar@gmail.com in writing.
Before the Dust off the Rust sessions a full refund, less a $30 administration fee, will be given.
Once the Dust off the Rust sessions have begun refunds will be provided at 50%.
After the season has begun there will be no further refunds.
Refunds will be processed the 15th and last day of the month in which they are received.

Kid Sport offers up to $400/child per calendar year based on financial need. They consider the social and economic barriers facing the athlete's family when determining eligibility.
Applications must be received before or at the start of the requested season of sport.
